For allergies, it is just not really enough any more, I keep getting sinus infections and headaches. I am on a course of treatment that includes taking a nasal spray an antihistamine and I am getting weekly shots. I will ask the doctor, but I would like to know of any good personal experiences as well.

I am stuffed up quite often and have heard than frequent use of a nasal spray is not a good idea. What other options might I try?

I’ve always had congestion problems for as long as I can remember.
I’ve been to the hospital a few times and have only come away with Flonase each time.

And the doctors always go “Tsk tsk” at me when I tell them I’ve been using Afrin daily — since it’s really the only thing that works.

I know that it says that you shouldn’t use it that often on the back, but why not?
I’ve taken Flonase daily for weeks under the advice of my doctors with no results, but with just one hit of an over-the-counter spray like Afrin, I can breathe clearly.

I was thinking of getting surgery done for my nose.

I’ve already been using it for more than 3 days and nothing bad has happened. In fact I’m on my second bottle. My nose isn’t stuffed up on one side at a time anymore, I can breath out of both nostrils, there’s not much mucus in the back of my throat so I don’t have to hawk up mucus and spit anymore. This little bottle is great and I do NOT have an addiction to it so what’s the harm?

On the bottle it said to take for less than 3 days and i’ve been taking it more than 3 days.

Since the start of December I have had a difficulty breathing through my nose. My sinuses near my eyes and nose area is congested if I place my fingers on my nose I can feel a throbbing (is it suppose to throb ?).
The back of my throat/tongue gets mucus at the back and I make myself cough up the phlegm so I don’t swallow it sometimes it tastes metallic like blood.

Sometimes I get anxious because I cannot breathe through my nose and I panic and then my neck get very stiff and I have noticed when I take in deep breaths I experience sharp chest pain in the upper region of my chest on the right side these last for about 1-2 secs and can be very painful.

When I look in my nose I can see balls that enlarge which get very close to the septum or sometimes they shrink. They will open up if I take a brisk walk outside but then it will go back to the same if I go back inside.

I went to the GP this morning and he said I have a polyp in my right nostril and prescribed me Beclometasone Aqueousuesous Nasal Spray for 6mnths..but I have been using that since the the start of the December around that time I panicked so much my mother took me to A&E and the Doctor at the hospital said it’s inflamed and it was polyps on the same side & I should use said I should use Beconase spray. It’s now the 17th of Dec and I still feel crappy it’s hard to sleep and breathe

Please help are there any other things I could do to ease this ????

I’m even worrying could it be pneuomonia because of the chest pains …why am I exeprincing pains in my chest area/ lungs?
