For the past 6 months, I have used over the counter Saline nasal spray once a day, which is every night right before I go to bed due to dry air where I live.

Should I be concerned about addiction to saline nasal spray?

Side by side on pharmacy shelves, some saline sprays are advertised for drying the nostrils, while others say they are for treating dry nostrils. How can both be right?

There were no directions on the bottle or packaging or their website.

The ingredients are: Purified Water, Sodium Chloride 0.65%, Disodium Phosphate, Phenylcarbinol, Monosodium Phosphate, Benzalkonium Chloride.

Someone told me saline spray is just salt water. I want to make sure I don’t get sick or get a stomach ache.

For those of you who use Saline Nasal Spray, Which do you prefer? Store Bought or Homemade?

If you make your own, what is your recipe?

And what is your method of delivery so to speak? How do you get it into your nasal passages and sinuses in other words

I actually want to make a solution for nasel irrigation.

This is day 3 and yesterday the dr said to frequently rinse with plain saline spray. My nose seems to dry and crust up and it hurts more than it did the day after. Is this normal? How often did anyone else do this? I am going to call the office, but I just wanted some other’s opinions too.

I know that you should store your contacts in a saline solution and NOT water but I’m not SURE if I can you my nasal spray it is a saline solution.
