i have been hooked on nasal sprays like afrin for a full year now and I have difficulty breathing through my nose without them. My cousin had a similiar problem and told me that the longer you are hooked on afrin nasal sprays, the more often you need to use it to keep your sinus swelling down. So if the suggested use is once every 12 hours, after a year, your nose will demand you take it up to 4 times a day to breath clearly. I can’t really go to a doctor at the moment for insurance reasons, but he said all the doctor told him to do was use it on one nostril for two weeks until the other closes but I tried this and it never opens consistantly. It opens and closes when I try to sleep. I can’t sleep if I can’t breath through my nose.
